Adonai, Hebrew, "my Lord," is a Jewish title of God. It is commonly used in the Jewish tradition to replace the Tetragrammaton (JHWH) when reading Hebrew scriptures, and its vowels when inserted into JHWH form the term Jehovah. A.G.H.
