Bathym

Bathym, also called Marthim, is a duke of the infernal region, or hell. He supposedly appears as a robust man, according to writer Wierius, but his body ends in a serpent's tail. He rides a livid steed.

Bathym, alibi Marthim Dux magnus & fortis: Visitur constitutione viri fortissimi cum cauda serpentina, equo pallido insidens. Virtutes herbarum & lapidum pretiosorum intelligit. Cursu velocissimo hominem de regione in regionem transfert.

The Eighteenth Spirit is Bathin, Bathym, Mathim, or Marthim,. He is a Mighty and Strong Duke, and appeareth like a Strong Man with the tail of a Serpent, sitting upon a Pale-Coloured Horse.
