Belphegor (Lord of the Opening) was pictured in two quite different fashions " as a beautiful naked woman and as a monstrous, bearded demon with a open mouth, horns, and sharply pointed nails.
Belphegor The demon of discoveries and ingenious inventions. According to legend, he is said to have appeared as a young woman. He was honored by the ancient Moabites, who called him Baal-phegor and worshipped him on Mount Phegor.
From D 5 came D 6, the evil Beauty; the hierarchy is called Togarini, the wranglers; the Archdemon is Belphegor. From D 6 came D 7, the evil Victory; the hierarchy is called Harab Serap, the dispensing Raven; the Archdemon is Baal Chanan.
