Esoteric DevasDevi

Devata(s), in Hinduism, are a group of lesser gods and spirits. There are many classes of devatas including tree spirits, water spirits, village gods, demons of disease, and so on.

 


The flag should be attached to the top of the staff, and should be marked with the image of the carrier of the particular Devata. It should be broad at the part nearest the staff and narrow at the other end. It should be made of fine cloth.

They are, to use the technical name, the form elementals (rupa devatas) of the animal world, and are the agents of the changes which transmute vibrations into sensations.
