Equinox
The time which occurs twice each year when night and day are equal. It is a time of balance and harmony. They are the Vernal Equinox and the Autumnal Equinox. See Solstice.

The equinoxes are those two days of the year when day and night are of equal length (around March 21st for the vernal equinox and September 21st for the autumnal equinox).
THE EQUINOXES AND SOLSTICES.
The plane of the zodiac intersects the celestial equator at an angle of approximately 23° 28'. The two points of intersection (A and B) are called the equinoxes.
Spring equinox: March 21. A solar festival, in which day and night, and the forces of male and female, are equally balanced. This is the first day of spring, which marks the birth of the infant Sun God and makes way for the lushness of summer.
