Eromanty A form of divination by means of the examination of the water inside a vase, practiced by the Persians.
Eromanty is one of the six kinds of divination practiced by the Persians by the means of air. They enveloped their heads in a napkin and exposed to the air a vase filled with water, over which they recited in a low voice the objects of their desires.
