Extispicy
Also known as Extispicium (also the name of one of the instruments used in the practice of it), Splanchomancy (see Anthropomancy), Haruspicy, Aruspicy, Hieroscopia, and Hieroscopy.
Extispicy (or Extispicium)
The term is derived from extra and spiere, meaning to view or consider. It applied cheifly to the inspection of entrails for the purposes of augury.
