Flying Ointment
A sort of cream or lotion used by a Witch to facilitate astral travel. These mixtures may contain potent psychotropic agents, and hence are seldom used. They are far too dangerous for experimentation.
It was assumed that used the blood of bats as one of the ingredients in their flying ointment and in and in love potions.
Wolfsbane was also known as Sagittarius because of its poison was used on arrow-heads. It was also a principal ingredient of the witches' flying ointments.
