"Forgetfulness" the Water of Oblivion in the Greek underworld, a spring giving rise to the River Lethe.

 


Dark Lethe is a collaborative story environment in which writers can create stories that interconnect, conflict, and conjoin in a new hyperlinked structure.

A similar revolution is alluded to by the Pythagorean poet, when he says: All these, where the wheel of a thousand years comes round, a god summons to the river Lethe in vast train, so that they may begin again to desire the return to the body.

Plotinus, who said that our body was the true river of Lethe, for "souls plunged into it forget all," meant more than he said. For, as our terrestrial body is like Lethe, so is our celestial body in Devachan, and much more.

Clear­eyed love can leap across death's abyss, across birth's Lethe-stream, and find and clasp its own unerringly though new and alien form be casket for the jewel-soul it knows.
