Fall Equinox
The Autumnal Equinox, the second of the Harvest Festivals, is the Pagan rite of Thanksgiving, also known as "Harvest Home.

 


Mabon is the solar festival that marks the transition from the light to the dark half of the year: day and night are of equal length. On this day, the sun rises due east and sets due west.

This is the second and largest Harvest Festival, the "Thanksgiving Day" for Pagans. Night and day are equal, and Autumn begins as the Sun moves into the sign of Libra.
