Mana is most widely known from the ancient Polynesians as a 'spiritual force' or power given or bestowed upon a human by the gods.

 


It is more or less equivalent to the idea of Mana used in oceanic shamanism. Aether in materialistic descriptions is information which structures matter and which all matter is capable of emitting and receiving.

And then Mana is cast away, and again we have to use an English word far too gross to express the real, subtle nature of the fetter cast off pride; not thinking even for a passing moment of the greatness of his own achieve­ment, ...

It is how information and mana (life force and energy) travel. All contact, whether in the physical or on another level, involves the exchange of threads of aka material or energy.

Five levels of self are referred to: the anna-maya-atma or the "Self (atma) made of Food"; the prana-maya-atma or "the Self made of Vital Breath (prana)"; the mana-maya-atma "the Self made of Mind (manas)"; ...

To the Kahunas (practitioners of Huna), the whole creation " mortals, gods, and the whole of nature " is pervaded by mana.

G What is the form (rupa) of the mind (mana)? What is the appearance (akar) of the vital breath (pavana)? What is the direction (disa) of the ten and through which door can the control be effected?
