Necromancy
Also known as Nagomancy, it is a form of divination by communication with the dead, one of the claimed black arts practiced by witches and magicians.

 


Necromancy is not to be confused with conjuring devils or demons for help. Necromancy is the seeking of the spirits of the dead. The spirits are sought because they, being without physical bodies, are no longer limited by the earthly plane.

Necromancy. The raising of the images of the dead, considered in antiquity and by modern occultists as a practice of Black Magic.

A form of Magick involving the body or spirit of a dead person. Generally a tool for summoning the spirits of the dead for purposes of divination.

Necromancy or Black Magic
The first distinction is clear. Any action or ritual designed to summon demons was forbidden. The Church never wavered on this point.

This is Necromancy, the application of Force to the domination of inferior living beings: Elemental, or organisms ready to synthetize themselves, and Elementary, remains of the dead, on the way to disorganization.
