Neptune (Greek Poseidon)
1. In Roman mythology, the name given to the Greek sea god Poseidon, son of Cronus and Rhea, brother of Zeus (Roman Jupiter) and Hades (Roman Pluto).

 


Neptune
Neptune is the planet of transcendence, higher faculties and psychic abilities. In a natal chart, the aspects and position of Neptune deal with the subject's ability to access higher consciousness and their grip on reality.

NEPTUNE ~ Functions ideally with Second Primary energy, but we notice only its mystical qualities because with our limited perceptions we are unable to see this as a normal attribute of consciousness.

" The Piscean is prone to drift into the habit of drink and the use of nar- cotics, especially if we find an affliction of the moon and Neptune in the horoscope. Pisces rules the feet, the toes, and the fibrin of the blood.

The seven Schemes of our Solar System may, for convenience sake, be named after the globe D of each, this being the globe best known to us; these are: Vulcan, Venus, Earth, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune (see Diagram I).

Neptune is an exception. When Neptune was discovered in the late 19th Century, Bode's Law was discarded. The next planet beyond Neptune, PLUTO, fits the Bode formula. When Pluto was found in 1930, Bode's Law should have been reconsidered.

The third horse, symbolizing the element of water, was sacred to Neptune. It was of heavy gait and described a very small circle.

Mix and distil all these ingredients in the "bath of Neptune," in a well-stoppered glass jar. Let this jar be about one cubit high, and carefully closed to prevent any of the spirits or smoke from evaporating.
