Pendulums
Small pendulums have become prevalently used in dowsing, radiesthesia, and related divination systems which once employed diving rods.

In order still further to analyze and see how this was done, a clever instrument was invented, in which two pendulums were set swinging, each of the pendulums having its own motion.
Divination by means of wands, sticks, rods and pendulums, usually when searching for water, minerals or other valuable items. Sometimes called "dowsing" or "water witching."

Although it seems that the pendulum is considered to have no intrinsic power, I have noticed that some pendulums seem to work better than others.
