Quintile
In Astrology, a planetary aspect or harmonic/spatial relationship between two (or more) planets, Sun, Moon and personal points, that comprises 1/5th of the circle in an astrological chart.
Here you have our doctrine, which shows man a septenary during life; a quintile just after death, in Kamaloka; and a threefold Ego, Spirit-Soul, and consciousness in Devachan.
I assigned numerical values to the responses, tabulated them, and divided the range into quintiles. Propositions whose aggregate response fell into the two highest quintiles (representing "agree" and "strongly agree") were included in the model.
Some of the minor aspects used from time to time are the semi-sextile (30 degrees), semi-square (45 degrees), quintile (72 degrees), sesqui-square or sesqui-quadrate (135 degrees), biquintile (144 degrees) and quincunx (150 degrees).
QUINTILES are fifth harmonic aspects and their influences are Fifth Ray;
SEXTILES are sixth harmonic aspects and their influences are Sixth Ray;
SEPTILES are seventh harmonic aspects and their influences are Seventh Ray.
My practical experience has been that the non-traditional aspects, dividing the circle by 5, 7, 9, 10, and 11, frequently have a stronger effect than the traditional ones. This is particularly true of the quintiles (division by five), ...
