Robe: The robe is our covering, a symbolic representation of stepping away from our daily lives, and cloths, and stepping into new clothing. It helps in the beginning to have a robe, for if nothing else, to help you change your mind set.

The robe wrapped casually around him reveals his strength and vigor. This could be seen as a very patriarchal image, implying continuing punishment for fallen humanity rather than the reconciliation of opposites which often informs this Arcanum.
