Sacred Relics : these are relics which have religious links. Often they are objects that behave in strange or mysterious ways, in a manner that cannot apparently be explained. Certainly 'The Shroud of Turin' is a very famous sacred relic.
Philip, Joseph of Arimathea, carrying the sacred relics, reached Britain after passing through many and varied hardships. Here a site was allotted to him for the erection of a church, and in this manner Glastonbury Abbey was founded.
Later Joseph, who had become custodian of the sacred relics--the Sangreal and the Spear of Longinus--carried them into a distant country.
" A typical resquardos under the protection of the thunder god Chango usually contains herbs, spices, brown sugar, aloes, stones or other sacred relics, tied up in red velvet and stitched with red thread.
