Sympathetic Magic
Type of magic where any action inflicted upon a representation of a person, animal or thing, it is simultaneously experienced by the real person, animal or thing. It is best exemplified by the myth of the voodoo doll. See Sorcery.
In order to bring about a goal, you might user sympathetic magick. This is the process where similar things have similar effects: like attracts like. This is one of the oldest popular magicks.

In considering the meaning of "sympathetic magic", one easily forgets the everyday-meaning of the word "sympathy". But for Ficino, sympathy was an obvious equivalent for love (amor).
They are, however, also a form of sympathetic magick, with "red" representing the warmth of the sun and "green" representing the growth of new plants, aspects everyone wishes to draw into their lives at this time of the year.
