Today, a man who practices magic for the good of mankind may be thought of as a white witch or white magician, whereas a man who practices magic with evil intent may be considered a black magician, more properly called a sorcerer.
Were white witches or the White Brotherhood originally good? Was this a secret sect of Jedi warriors working for the truth? Did the energy of the Great Pyramid structure add to Christ's realization of Self?
Anyone who worked energy for good or personal reasons was considered a sorcerer and in almost all the books I read, a male. The exception was healers - who could be male or female, but were classified as white witches.
