THE WORD OF POWER My Word is a Word of Power, for I know that it is the Word of the Great God within me. My Word shall accomplish and prosper, and shall do good unto all who call upon my name.
Most extraordinary is the powerful, all-conquering Honover (word of power),2 of Zoroaster, which fully corresponds with the foregoing, by which Ormuzd overcame Ahriman and all evil.
Then there is a formula; we call it a Word of Power. It is the mantra chanted by the priest; it is the sacred sentence spoken by the Parsi mobed; it is the words of consecration spoken by the Christian priest. There is a gesture, a Sign of Power.
This power and their beings comprise the Mathrem, or Mathra, literally, the sacred word of power', which is the basis for the development of the practice of mantra in India and Words of Power" in the Middle East and Egypt.
The seven stars carried by this immense Being in his right hand are the Governors of the world; the flaming sword issuing from his mouth is the Creative Fiat, or Word of Power, by which the illusion of material permanence is slain.
The point is, that the Name is a word of power that invokes God's presence. It brings His Consciousness, Life and Energy. By using it in vain, we abuse ourselves by misusing the function of our Divine spark.
