Environmental art: Art on a grand scale involving the creation of a man-made environment (architecture, sculpture, light. sound or landscape) through which the viewer can walk. Best-known practitioner the 'environmental sculptor' Christo.
A short lived painting style in early 20th century France, which featured bold, clashing, arbitrary colors - colors unrelated to the appearance of forms in the natural world. Henri Matisse was its best-known practitioner.
