FACSIMILE SIGNED - photo-mechanically reproduced artist's signature applied to a print. These signatures look hand signed, but upon closer examination reveal a composition of tiny dots that are indicative of its unoriginal status.

Fake
A copy of an existing work of art or a work done in careful imitation of a well-known artist's style. Distinguished from a COPY or studio version because the intention is to deceive.

Facsimile: An identical copy.
Fake: Copy of a work of art made with the intention of pretending to be the original. or by the original artist.

Facsimile Signed:
The artist's signature is photo-mechanically reproduced and applied to the print. These signatures tend to look hand signed, but upon closer examination reveal a composition of tiny dots that are indicative of its unoriginal status.
