C (ascorbic acid): Collagen synthesis, amino acid metabolism, helps iron absorption, immunity, antioxidant. Found in: spinach, broccoli, red bell peppers, snow peas, tomato juice, kiwi, mango, orange, grapefruit juice, strawberries.

Ascorbic Acid: Known in the over-the-counter food supplement trade as vitamin C, ascorbic acid, a water-soluble organic compound, is the most studied and debated of all the vitamins.

Ascorbic Acid
Also known as Vitamin C. A water soluble vitamin, and an antioxidant. Your body cannot store Vitamin C, so you must supplement it regularly. It is not resistant to heat, so cooking will destroy it.

Ascorbic Acid
Also known as Vitamin C, it is essential for the development and maintenance of connective tissue .

C (Ascorbic acid) -This vitamin is used for collagen production, bone and tooth formation, healing, digestion, red blood cell formation, infection and shock resistance, iodine conservation, and protection against vitamin oxidation.

Vitamin C (ascorbic acid) and the B complex group make up the nine water soluble vitamins. The B complex group comprises of vitamins:
B6 (pyridoxine)
B1 (thiamine)
B2 (riboflavin)
B12 (niacin, pantothenic acid, biotin, folic acid and cobalamin) ...

VITAMIN C (Ascorbic acid): Although most animals can make vitamin C from scratch, humans have lost the ability. We must get it from food, chiefly fresh fruits and vegetables. Vitamin C helps maintain blood vessels, bones and teeth.

Vitamin C (ascorbic acid) - recommended intake 3000 mg/day
Essential for structure of bones, cartilage, muscle, and blood vessels. Helps maintain capillaries and gums, aids in the absorption of iron.

Vitamin C / Ascorbic Acid
Citrus fruit, nectarines, strawberries, melons, vegetables, tomatoes, potatoes. Most other fruits and vegetables contain some vitamin C; fish and milk contain small amounts.

" Vitamin C (ascorbic acid) is sold as a natural food supplement. But is it "natural" to ingest Vitamin C not by the ingestion of various fruits and foods, but by swallowing it whole in processed tablet form?

All or nearly all of milk's ascorbic acid is destroyed after a 30 minutes exposure. Whey proteins (composed of amino acids containing sulfur) degrade producing "sunlight" flavors (reminiscent burnt hair) lasting for 2-3 days.

Natural preservatives such as salt, sugar, vinegar, ascorbic acid (vitamin C), and citric acid exist. However, many foods contain synthetic, artificial preservatives.

There are nine water-soluble vitamins: C (ascorbic acid), and the B-complex vitamins--B1 (thiamin), B2 (riboflavin), B6 (pyridoxine), B12, niacin, folic acid, biotin, and pantothenic acid.
