This BMR calculator provides an estimate of your Basal Metabolic Rate (BMR). Your BMR is the the amount of calories that you burn while you are at complete rest and not digesting any food.

Your Basal Metabolic Rate (BMR) is the energy expended by the body at rest. This continual work makes up about 60-70% of the calories we use and includes the beating of our heart, breathing, and the maintenance of body temperature.

BMR Calculator
Use this calculator to determine your basal metabolic rate (BMR).
Body Fat Calculator
This body fat calculator offers an estimate of your body fat based on your height and the measurements of your neck, waist and hips.

BMR
Just how many calories do our cells need to function well? The number is different for every person.

BMR
Basal metabolic rate. The number of calories consumed by the body while at rest. It is measured by the rate at which heat is given off, and is expressed in calories per hour, per square meter of skin surface.
Bodybuilding ...

BMR (men and women) = 370 + (21.6 X lean mass in kg)
Example:
You are female
You weigh 120 lbs. (54.5 kilos)
Your body fat percentage is 20% (24 lbs. fat, 96 lbs. lean)
Your lean mass is 96 lbs. (43.6 kilos) ...

BMR = Basal Metabolic Rate - a number that represents your caloric need before factoring in activity level.

BMR
(Basal Metabolic Rate)
The rate of energy used for metabolism when the body is at complete rest.
BULIMIA ...

BMR (Basal Metabolic Rate) The estimated minimum level of energy required to sustain the body's vital functions when at rest. Usually, more than half of the calories burned in a day are those burned to keep your body functioning.

BMR (Basal Metabolism Rate)
The level of energy needed to keep involuntary body processes going. These processes include heartbeat, breathing, generating body heat, perspiring to keep cool, and transmitting messages to the brain .

With your BMR and the MET value for your particular activity, it is possible to estimate the number of calories you burn whilst participating in that activity. To do this multiply your BMR by the activity's MET value e.g.

Basal metabolic rate (BMR) - The lowest rate of body metabolism (rate of energy use) that can sustain life, measured after a full night's sleep in a laboratory under optimal conditions of quiet, rest and relaxation.

BMR [back to top] Basal metabolic rate. Body composition [back to top] The proportion of body fat to fat free mass.
Body fat the percentage of your body mass that is not composed of lean muscle, water, bones or vital organs.

Diet Master 2000This program features a personal interview that automatically calculates the correct BMR (ideal calorie intake), proper amount of proteins, carbohydrates, fats and micronutrient needs (vitamins and minerals).

If you want to lose body fat, begin deducting small caloric increments weekly from your BMR. You have to stay consistent for a week or two on any program.

That one-half pound of muscle loss every year after age 25 produces a one-half percent reduction in basal metabolic rate (BMR) every year.

Basal Metabolic Rate (BMR)- The energy requirements necessary for maintenance of life processes such as heart beat, breathing and cell metabolic activities.

Basal Metabolic Rate (BMR): Most of the body's energy, about 60-70%, goes to supporting the ongoing metabolic work of the body's cells. This includes such activities as heart beat, respiration and maintaining body temperature.

Similarly, due to a serious need of increasing the BMR to burn more calories at rest than fat, endomorphs need to take up a Strength training program composed of higher repetitions at least 12-20 reps (with 30-60 sec of rest between the sets).

You cannot change your BMR directly but it can be influenced by changes in body composition (added muscle mass), nutrition and rest. You can look at an increased BMR as being a bonus for following a healthy nutrition and exercise program.

Basal Metabolic Rate (BMR) Metabolic rate at rest, your bodies working output.
Bio availability The simplicity in which nutrients can be absorbed.
Biochemical Reaction The chemical reactions which take place within the human body.

BASAL METABOLIC RATE (BMR): The energy expended by the body at rest to maintain normal function. Relative to lean body mass.
BCAA: Branched chain amino acids.
BLOOD PRESSURE: The force that blood exerts on the walls of the arteries.

Basal metabolic rate (BMR) - The amount of calories you burn without the addition of physical activity.
Body mass index (BMI) - A calculation using height and weight to determine a rating of underweight, normal, overweight, or obese.

Basal Metabolic Rate (BMR): The measurement of vital cellular activity during resting based on oxygen usage.
Bicep: The major flexible muscle of the upper arm.
Bio availability: The ease in which nutrients can be absorbed.

BASAL METABOLIC RATE (BMR): Metabolic rate at rest, your bodies working output.
BANNISTER, Roger : The first person to break the 4 Minute Mile. A True Gentleman among men. TOP ...

Basal Metabolic Rate (BMR)
Metabolic rate at rest, your bodies working output.
Bicep
The muscle running along the inside of the upper arm which bends your arm at the elbow.

Basal Metabolic Rate (BMR) - rate at which the body burns calories over a 24 hour period, while at complete rest.
Body Fat Percentage - the percentage of fat in the body.

Oxygen (O2) plus glucose (C6H12O6) through BMR yields energy in the form of high energy phosphate bonds (especially ATP, the primary energy unit of the human body) plus water (H2O) which dissolves carbon dioxide (CO2) and facilitates the hydrolysis ...

Basal Metabolic Rate (BMR)
The rate at which the body expends energy while at rest.
Bilateral
With reference to two sides.

Basal Metabolic Rate (BMR) - The number of calories your body burns at rest to maintain normal body functions.

Daily energy expenditure consists of three components: basal metabolic rate (BMR), diet-induced thermogenesis (DIT) and energy cost of physical activity.
