Don't spend a lot of time when you are trying to build size doing things like lateral raises and cable crossovers and these kind of things.

In the case of chest training, exercises like pec-deck flyes and cable crossovers work the chest hardest in the full contracted position.

Forget about doing hundreds of cable crossovers or sit-ups to strip away the fat from your chest or stomach. On their own, these body toning exercises simply don't burn enough calories to have a significant impact on body composition.

The fourth and final way to do a same muscle group superset is to superset two isolation exercises, such as cable crossovers and dumbbell flyes.

1. Do compound exercises.
Choose flat and incline presses over flys and cable crossovers. They allow you to lift heavier weight, thereby applying more tension to the muscles (and that means more growth).

Isolation Movement - An exercise that involves only one joint in the performance of the movement. Examples include cable crossovers, biceps curls and leg extensions.
