Our workout targets the gluteus minimus, gluteus medius and gluteus maximus in five strong moves.

There are actually three sets of gluts, gluteus maximus, gluteus medius, and gluteus minimus, which mean maximum, middle, and minimum respectively. "Glutes" as a nickname almost always refers to just the gluteus maximus.

The largest muscle in your body (as if anyone had to tell you) is your gluteus maximus, emphasis on the maximus.

Gluteal Muscles: The gluteus maximus and gluteus medius muscles help maintain your balance, when you bend backwards. These muscles can be strengthened by performing hip-hike exercises.

The deadlift is a compound movement that works grip strength, and the primary muscles used in the deadlift are the erector spinae, the gluteus maximus, adductor magnus, hamstrings, quadriceps, and the soleus.

The buttisimo consist of three muscles, the gluteus maximus, medius and minimus. The medius and minimus are the muscles on the sides of the hip that are responsible for the internal rotation of the thigh.

The lower body includes the largest muscle in the body: The Gluteus Maximus. Working the glutes, along with the quads, hamstrings, calves and hips can help shape your body and keep you strong for daily activities.

Supine leg curls- strengthens hams strings and gluteus maximus. Laying face down on the leg curling machine, bend at the knee and lift the bar that is hooked onto your ankles. Try not to let your back arch or strain.

Strengthens the buttocks (gluteus maximus), back of the thighs (hamstrings), back of the shoulder (rear deltoid). The abdominal and lower back muscles are also strengthened as stabilizers. This is also a good exercise for balance.

Tone and trim your gluteous maximus while you are sitting at your desk by squeezing and releasing your butt muscles as quickly as you can. This is a simple exercise that you can do almost without thinking.
