Another problem with these guidelines is the clinical community's position on the use of progression (recommended use of progressive resistance training).

Preliminary trials suggest that progressive resistance training (i.e., weight training) may be used as an alternative or adjunct to steroids in this disease.

The progressive resistance training program should stress the muscles how they are to perform. The most obvious example of specificity is that the muscle exercised is the muscle that adapts to training.

Proteins are the building blocks required to repair and grow muscle tissue when participating in any type of activity that breaks down muscle tissue including particularly in our case, progressive resistance training.

Too much weight will contribute to poor form when lifting and create injury to other areas of the body in addition to the muscle you're targeting. Know your limits. The most effective workout is gradual progressive resistance training.
