Rhomboids

Fitness Reverse lungeRipped

Rhomboids - Muscles in the middle of the upper back between the shoulder blades. They're worked during chin-ups, dumbbell bent rows, and other moves that bring the shoulder blades together.

Rhomboids - The muscles that pull your shoulder blades inward. They attach to the vertebrae at the base of the neck and go diagonally to the inside edges of the shoulder blades.

The rhomboids originate on the spinal column and attach to the middle of the scapula. Their function is to bring the scapula in towards the spine, literally meaning to squeeze the shoulder blades together.

TARGET MUSCLES: RHOMBOIDS, UPPER TRAPEZIUS
LATERAL RAISE-
Place tubing under both feet. Spread feet shoulder width apart and grasp handles at your side.

Secondary muscles: the Trapezius, the Rhomboids (beneath the trapezius) and the Rotator-Cuff muscles (subscapularis, supraspinatus, teres minor and infraspinatus).

Next on the list are the smaller muscles around the shoulder blade area which are the infraspinatus, rhomboids, teres major and minor and rear deltoids. These muscles work during all forms of rows.

Rows involve the biceps and mid-upper back including the Trapezius, Rhomboids and Posterior Deltoid (shoulder).

Your back muscles, which include the latissimus dorsi, erector spinae and rhomboids are responsible for stabilizing the body as well as movements such as bending, rotating and extending the core.

They hit the rear delts, traps, and rhomboids really well. Attach a rope to a cable cross over pulley and set it so that it is head height. Grab the ends of the rope and row it towards your face.

Your back is characterized by three smaller muscles namely the latisimus dorsi, rhomboids (Upper/middle back) and erector spinae (lower back) These three muscle, ...

This adds more completeness to your rhomboids (middle back thickness) and rear delts, which also add to back completeness.

The primary muscles used are the latissimus dorsi and rhomboids. The secondary muscles used are the biceps, posterior deltoids, and forearm flexors.

This strengthens the rear deltoids or muscles at the back of the shoulders as well as the middle trapezius and rhomboids or muscles in between the shoulder blades. People with rounded-shoulders or a stooped posture will benefit from this exercise.

One Arm Dumbbell Row
Prime Movers/Muscles worked: Rhomboids, Latissimus Dorsi, Biceps, Brachialis
Beginning Position: ...

Purpose: To provide stability throughout the core and strengthen the lats, rhomboids and opposite side glutes.

The primary muscles responsible for shoulder retraction in the middle upper back (lower and middle trapezius and rhomboids) are lengthened and weak.

Rhomboideus - Muscles in the middle of the back. Shaped like a rhombus, but with only the opposite sides equal (a rectangle squashed out of square), from the Greek to revolve. These are a set of muscles, so are called "rhomboids", in the plural.

Mid Back - This is the home of the rhomboids, in the middle of the upper back between the shoulder blades.
