For our first shoulder exercise you'll need a resistance band, which you can purchase at most sporting goods and fitness stores.
Step 1
Assume start position as shown with resistance tube under the arch of your foot.

For shoulder exercise, simply lean forward at the waist and place your one hand on a bench for support. Now hold a dumbbell in your free hand with parallel arms extended and raise it above the floor up to your shoulder level.

For shoulder exercises you should keep your spine in a neutral position and slightly bent knees if standing to prevent injury and get the most affective workout.

The arnold press is often championed as the only shoulder exercise that hits all three heads of the deltoids. However, the bulk of the work is done by the front delts with the side delts also working some. The rear delts have minimal involvement.

One can perform some shoulder exercises which involve shrugs and presses. While doing shrugs, one should lift heavy weight which will make the shoulders strong.

The anterior deltoid works along side the pectorals during chest exercises and the medial deltoid during shoulder exercises.

However, an exercise in and of itself will not make the shoulders smaller. The key is to avoid heavy weight-training shoulder exercises that have you working in a 6-rep range, but I'm very confident this isn't something you're currently doing.
