The supraspinatus is the most often injured rotator cuff muscle. The inability to smoothly abduct the arm against resistance may indicate a rotator cuff injury. See supraspinatus weakness.

 


Secondary muscles: the Trapezius, the Rhomboids (beneath the trapezius) and the Rotator-Cuff muscles (subscapularis, supraspinatus, teres minor and infraspinatus).

During one visit, approximately one month after her initial visit, clinical assessment included bilaterally inhibited Subscapularis muscles. Upon Therapy Localization (TL) to the CR, the muscles facilitated.

The four muscles composing the Rotator Cuff are Supraspinatus, Infraspinatus, Teres Minor and Subscapularis. These muscles originate from various aspects of the scapulae and insert on the humerous.

There are four sets of muscles in the rotator cuff, the SITS muscles (supraspinatus, infraspinatus, teres minor, and subscapularis), that hold the "gleno-humeral" joint together.
