Tendonitis symptoms.
Tendonitis is often ignored by weight trainers because it starts off with only a slight pain and stiffness in the affected area. Most lifters just write this off as stiffness from a heavy training session.

 


Tendonitis
Tendonitis is a common sports injury that often occurs from overuse. Tendonitis can cause deep, nagging pain that is caused by inflammation of tendons.

Tendonitis. In tendonitis, tearing and inflammation occur in the tendons, rope-like bands of tissue that connect muscles to bones. Tendonitis is associated with repetitive overstretching of tendons from overuse of certain muscles.

Tendonitis: Tendonitis is probably the most common cause of pain to bodybuilders and other athletes and is (luckily) the easiest to treat.

Tendonitis of the patellar tendon is sometimes called jumper's knee. This is because in sports requiring jumping, such as basketball, the muscle contraction and force of hitting the ground after a jump strain the tendon.

No recurrence of calcium deposits was observed in the treatment group during the study. Calcific tendonitis is when calcium crystals develop in the tendon. These crystal deposits can become quite painful and may become a chronic problem.
