Water dumbbells/water barbells - Flotation devices shaped like paddles that provide extra resistance to your arm muscles when used underwater. They can also be used to hold you at the surface for back and leg exercises.

 


Advanced: Add water dumbbells for additional arm workout. Arms can be done in breaststroke fashion to engage chest and back muscles.
5. Side Kicks ...

Use a set of water dumbbells that have built-in flotation pads. Wear neoprene (rubber-like) water gloves to increase resistance to your moves and intensify your heart rate during your aquatic workout.
4. Acquire a supply of hand weights.
