Aeroponics
This technique of hydroponic growing involves misting the plant's roots with nutrient solution. The runoff is collected, analyzed, augmented, and then reused like in nutrient film technique (NFT) systems.
Aeroponics is a method of growing plants in an environment with no soil and little water developed by NASA for use by astronauts to provide fresh vegetables on extended space missions.
Aeroponics: A method of growing plants without dirt. In this form of hydroponic growing some or all of the roots are exposed to air, and a nutrient rich solution is sprayed on them or circulated beneath them.
Aeroponics (fig.2 shown below, is the growing of plants in a container in which the roots are suspended in a nutrient mist rather than in a solution. The most popular container for aeroponics is an enclosed A-frame constructed of styrofoam boards.
