lamium amplexicaule
Henbit. Another plant entirely edible raw. It's a Lamium, a very mild mint. Like chickweed, it has a sweet, grassy flavor - pluck off the tops to avoid the stems.

Henbit is a winter annual occasionally found in lawns in early spring.

For warmer climates, a new species that was discovered recently in Vietnam is Camellia amplexicaulis. It has magnificent huge glossy green leaves and superb crimson new growth.

Crimson spikes emerge like tiny tails from still-green foliage in fall with Persicaria amplexicaulis 'Firetail'.
