'Autumn Blush' Coreopsis

- Blush Noisette: A climbing, repeat-blooming rose with semi-double pink blossoms. Disease resistant and grows in partial shade.

Disregard the red blush on varieties that develop it such as D'Anjou. The ground color of the pear skin will change to more closely resemble the mature pear of that variety.

"Old Blush" is a common old rose, with again, a long blooming period. It blooms profusely with double light pink blossoms in the spring, then slows down a little during the hot dry summer, and bounces back in the fall.

Mature rhubarb stalks are about 18 inches high, have a nice red blush and full, healthy leaves.
Don't be greedy. When you harvest, take no more than half of the stalks from each plant.

Delicately perfumed Camellia 'Fairy Blush' is a hybrid of the strongly fragrant Camellia lutchuensis. It has deep pink buds that open to single flowers blushed with pink around the edges.

'Duchesse de Brabant', which is shell pink, and 'Mme Joseph Schwartz', which is white with a blush center, are both handsome shrubs that continuously bear fragrant, loose-petaled, delicate blooms.

Blushing Pink Iceberg rose is a sport of the original Iceberg. This Iceberg rose's petals have a wonderful light pink blush to them almost as if painted by a famous artist.

In the south, hydrangeas usually age to a blushing green color and then pick up shades of pink and burgundy as Fall approaches. In the cooler areas of the world, they seem to age to shades of blue and purple.

(Tulipa 'Jan Reus') is a deep burgundy-red tulip with a satiny-red blush. The insides of the petals have black centers with a gold stripe separating the black from the red. It is a midseason bloomer on stems to 16 inches tall.

The fleshy leaves will blush red when exposed to full sun. Grow it in well-drained soil consisting of peat, sand or perlite and sterile soil. Cooler temperatures and bright light will prolong blooming. Remove spent flowers for a neater appearance.

Pure white, 3-inch, star-shaped flowers with mahogany-blushed throats have a delightfully clean, sweet fragrance. Four to six blossoms bloom in succession on each 2- to 3-foot stem over a month-long period.

Of the first these are much admired: Agrippina (crimson), Eel's Blush (a great bloomer), Common Daily, White Daily, Madame Bosanquet, Sanguinea (crimson), Louis Philippe (dark crimson), Eugene Hardy (nearly white), and Eugene Beauharnois (fragrant).

I love it for its leaves, a steely grey blue warmed with a blush of burgundy. Underplanted with white-silver stachys with its pettable ears of foliage it presents a study in coolness; partnered with purple opal basil it takes on warmth.

I love the red blush the cold puts on the leaves of scented geraniums, so I usually procrastinate before bringing them in-sometimes until it is too late and they can't be separated from a frozen lollipop of earth.

First, determine if your tomatoes are ready to be harvested. While tomatoes don't need to be red (ripe) to be harvested, they do need to be mature. A slight blush of color is usually a good sign of maturity.

Fragrant clusters of pea-shaped, pale mauve flowers hang from the trees like grapes in April and May, lending a blush of bluish-purple to the hillsides and forests where they grow. The pale green compound leaves have 13-19 ovate leaflets.

Violet Queen has soft grey blue petals which are edged in a delicate pink blush. Just delightful. Emerald Ripple is another unusual one with high gloss leaves of brilliant emerald green.

At 4 feet, the plants produce a rosette of large leaves the size and shape of poinsettia leaves in sizzling red blushed with gold. For those who love hot color combinations, these decorative amaranths outpace all other plants.
