Broad beans, or fava beans, have long and flat seeds that are stripped from the pods and eaten. The relon broad bean variety is prized for its large pods that have up to ten beans inside. They grow on four foot vines and have pods over a foot long.
Broad Beans also thrive through the coldest months of winter. If you live in Queensland or a sub tropical area Bush Beans will be being planted instead. If you live in an area where there is no frost at all, peas can be planted.
