Catch crop A quick crop, usually of salads or green manure, grown on ground that is empty for a few weeks.

Radish can be grown as a catch crop between rows of slower growing vegetables. A first sowing can be made under cloches and then further sowing can be done at weekly intervals until the middle of summer.
