Gardening Contour plowingControlled burn

The bottom of the corm is flattened. Don't worry too much about which side is up during crocus flower care and planting; crocuses have contractile roots which just means they will adjust their position downward if they feel the need.

The rule of thumb is three times their own depth, so for a 5cm (2in) daffodil bulb, that's a hole 15cm (6in) deep. But don't worry if you've done it wrong because bulbs will 'drag' themselves to the correct depth using contractile roots.
