Cultivation
Weeds compete with vegetable plants for water, sunlight and plant nutrients. Destroy them so that the vegetables develop properly. Generally, practice shallow cultivation.

Water your Siberian iris well the first season, especially during hot dry weather when weekly watering may be required. Keep the soil moist during the spring.Continue to water regularly throughout the entire first growing season.

Cultivation Tips for Growing Garlic
Start by putting the whole unbroken head of garlic in the basement or unheated (but not freezing) garage for three weeks. A little dormancy goes a long way.

Cultivation: Bigleaf hydrangeas need moist, well-drained organic soil. Give it full sun to part shade; in the South, shade is essential. Mulch is helpful to help retain soil moisture.

Cultivation Dig new flower beds deeply, a foot if possible. Use a shovel or garden fork. Remove all weeds and be especially careful to remove every piece of bermuda grass and similar plants that resprout from the smallest piece.
