Diocecious: A plant that has either male or female organs. Division: Increasing plants by splitting the roots and top stems, eg irises. Dormancy: The season or period when a plant stops growing, usually in winter.
DIOCECIOUS -- A plant which bears either male or female flowers. (Compare to Monoecious) DISC (DISK) -- The flat central part of a compound flower. It is made up of short, tubular florets.
DIOCECIOUS - A plant which bears either male of female flowers. (Compare to Monoecious) DIRECT SEEDING - putting the seed directly in the soil as opposed to transplanting seedlings.
