As a member of the Dissectum group, 'Seiryu' has lacy, green leaves dissected into seven segments, each cut all the way to the petiole. In summer, the tree has a light green color and is reminiscent of a lacy curtain.
The plant: The dissectum group of Japanese maples offers deeply cut, lacy foliage that has a delicate appearance. The trees have a pendulous growth habit and are usually as wide as they are high, forming a dome shape.
