The forewings (elytra) of the beetle have four pairs of ridges, but because the middle humps are the largest, only two parallel ridges are apparent. Eggs are pearly white.
Adult GR are approximately 8-10 mm (5/16 -3/8 in.) long and are grayish- brown or chestnut colored with a fine light-colored pile covering the thorax and elytra (wing covers).
