From fall sowing, these produce flowring plants early the next spring. Ascool weather plants, they should be ideal in cool greenhouses, coldframes.

Sow in mid to late spring or early fall. Fall sowings should bloom the following year. Cover with about 1/4" of soil and thin plants to 6" apart, once they are 1--2" tall.
5. Lupine (Lupinus) ...

They can stand temperatures as low as 28 ° F. For your late fall sowing, just sow the seeds in the ground.

The seeds can take up to 20 days to sprout, and germination from fall sowing is often erratic. The goal is to get larkspurs to sprout as early as possible.
