Fiber
Fibrous root - Root system consisting of many small roots, often forming a mat which spreads out vertically and laterally in the soil. Fibrous roots do not usually penetrate very deeply in the soil.

Fiberglass is moderately more efficient than glass and greatly more efficient than plastic at retaining heat. Many new types of fiberglass offer a look almost as attractive as glass, but without the breakage concerns.
Fiberglass isn't transparent, but almost as much light makes it through fiberglass as glass greenhouses. The light is diffused and the fiberglass used for greenhouses is given a gel coat for UV protection.
