Incomplete Fertilizers. A fertilizer is said to be complete when it contains nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium (10-10-10, 5-10-10, 5-30-5, etc.). An incomplete fertilizer contain one or two of the major components.
Specialty fertilizers used for particular plants or soil imbalances can be referred to as incomplete fertilizer or high analysis fertilizer.
