Robinia inermis - Mop Top Robinia
Mop Top Robinia is a small grafted tree to around 5mtr tall with a spread of 4mtrs. The leaves are dark green and the trunck and branches have a fine textured bark.

Each morning the caper bush produces lovely white flowers which lapse with the heat of the day. They do develop an elongated fruit but it's the unopened flower buds that are the capers sought after by gourmets.

Botanical name: Gleditsia triancanthos inermis.
Hardiness: Zones 4 to 9.
Foliage: Small leaflets provide airy appearance; green leaves turn yellow in fall.
