Dew dries faster in areas that receive morning sunlight, so use plants there that require moderate or drier conditions.

Plant your Azalea in an area that receives a few hours of morning sun, but receives at least partial shade during the very hottest part of the day.Dig your planting hole twice as wide and 1 1/2 times as deep as the rootball.

-Choose a location with morning sun and afternoon shade.

Then I'll put them on the east side of the house, where the morning sun provides just enough light and the afternoon shade keeps them cool. In that kinder, gentler location, they may even survive until fall (as long as I remember to water them!).

Make sure the plants receive at least morning sun, more if climate permits. This is particularly important in spring when plants are putting out new growth.

Location.Roses require a location that's sunny at least six hours a day. Ideally, the location should provide good air circulation and receive morning sun to help dry off leaves early in the day, which will help minimize disease problems.
