There are several noxious weeds in Colorado. Among the worst are leafy spurge, spotted knapweed, diffuse knapweed, Russian knapweed, Canada thistle, musk thistle, Dalmatian toadflax, yellow toadflax, field bindweed and purple loosestrife.

Noxious weeds - Invasive weeds like creeping charlie or Canada thistle can be composted, but these invasive weeds often come back from even small pieces of plant material.

Maybe the most important thing you want to see on a seed bag is the label "No Noxious Weeds." Quality seeds should contain no noxious seeds, and in fact it's illegal in most states to sell seed that contains certain noxious weed seeds.
