Oblanceolate - much longer than wide, tapering towards the base instead of the apex (the opposite of lanceolate).
Oblong - nearly twice as long as broad, with the sides nearly or parallel most of their length.

 


oblanceolate search for term- a. (L. ob, reversely; lancea, spear) shaped like a lance point reversed, that is, having the tapering point next to the leafstalk.oblique search for term- a. (L. obliquus, slanting) slanting; unequal-sided.

oblanceolate Widest near apex, tapering to base, longer than wide. oblong Much longer than wide, with sides roughly parallel for most of their length. orbicular Flat with the outline circular or nearly circular; disc shaped.
