Offset

Offsets
Plants with a rosetted stem often reproduce by forming new shoots at their base or in leaf axils. Sever the new shoots from the parent plant after they have developed their own root system.

OFFSET -- A young plantlet which appears on a mature plant. An offset can generally be detached and used for propagation.
OPPOSITE -- Leaf form, where the leaves are arranged in opposite pairs along the stem. Compare alternate.

Plant offsets in a three-inch pot in a mixture of equal parts peat and perlite. Place in a warm room with bright light. When watering, moisten the potting mixture well, then allow it to go slightly dry before watering again.
